Project Engineer, Permanent position, upto £50,000 dependent on experience
This is an exciting role within a developing and growing business which has an unrivalled reputation globally as a leading designer and manufacturer of high speed automated machinery.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Ensure the set goals and targets within manufacturing are achieved with regard to time-scale, quality and accuracy
- Interpret project pack from Design Office to create manufacturing project and capacity plans
- Produce planning data from MS Project to assist Operations Manager
- Determine manufacturing sequences
- Determine in-house and sub-contract manufacturing requirements
- Ensure project plans are maintained and relevant departments made aware of changes
- Produce clear and accurate documentation and manufacturing work instructions
- Document the progress of projects and provide regular up-dates to the management team
- Proven purchasing ability
What you'll bring to the role:
- Educated to degree level (ideally in mechanical engineering)
- Ideally experience or knowledge of engineering projects
- Knowledge and experience of managing projects (university or work-related)
- Experience of using Microsoft Project
- Exceptional numerical skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Time management and prioritisation skills
- Ability to assimilate information from different sources to generate achievable plans
- Attention to detail with ability to work under pressure
- Able to communicate efficiently and effectively with all other departments throughout the business
- Effective interpersonal, written communication and analytical skills
- Ability to meet strict time targets
- Leadership potential
- The ability to set high standards within a team dynamic
- Reduce costs of procurement and manufacture
