To truly be a provider of bespoke machinery means you need to be versatile in your approach. Elements of previous designs can be adapted, modified and recalibrated, but there is no rinse and repeat.
As such, it's important to understand a customers need from the get go, and keep a constant stream of communication to ensure challenges are met head on with a full understanding of option. It also means keeping on top of current trends, as well has a creative spark that can really make your product stand out.
Our client prides themselves on being at the forefront of the FMCG industry for Filling Machines and conveyor lines, and they are there because of their innovative way of working in both R&D and their day-to-day activities. COVID aside, they have grown year on year and are a cash rich company, allowing them the ability to upgrade machinery, rather than coping with instruments that are long since fit for purpose. Due to a site move over the last few years, they have a modern working environment which is clean (even by FMCG standards), open workspace, with plenty of room for expansion.
They are currently looking for a Design Engineer to join their team who is keen to take products from Concept to completion, managing projects through the shop floor and with the customers, and is able to come up with creative answers to complex problems.
Day to day activities will include:
- Using 3D design on Pneumatic bespoke machinery (They use AutoCAD and Solidworks)
- Build and fault find pneumatic control circuits
- Work directly with the shop floor, suppliers and customers
- Prepare BOMs, User Manuals and other technical Documentation.
In return you'll receive a salary of up to £35k, be part of a company bonus scheme, get 24 days + Bank Holidays and an excellent pension matched up to 6.5%.
