You will be joining a business with almost 50 years' success under their belts as a supplier of cleanroom and containment facilities. They currently work with companies in the healthcare, research and pharmaceutical industries the world over.
The role pays up to £40,000 per year; this is on a sliding scale dependant on experience. You will also receive an annual bonus based on company performance as well as a host of other company benefits.
The position also offers the chance to get out into the field and see your realised designs first hand.
As the Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the mechanical design and detailed drawing of both standard containment and aseptic machinery, in addition to more complex bespoke equipment. As a key figure within the Engineering team, you will work closely with the Sales, Operations and Purchasing teams to ensure the on-time successful delivery of projects within the business. You will report to the Head of Engineering and actively encouraged to think outside the box to drive new and innovative solutions that benefit your clients and streamline manufacturing processes.
You will be educated to at least HND level, although candidates with relevant practical experience will be considered. As well as this you will have recent, proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer using both 3D and 2D design packages ideally Solidworks and AutoCAD.
Experience working with aseptic processes and containment devices would be a strong preference, although a background working with gloveboxes in the nuclear industry would also be suitable.
