Job Description

Manufacturing Technician/Process Engineer, Permanent position, up to £33,000 Basic(possibility of negotiation for the right applicant).

Working hours are Mon-Thurs 8:30am - 5:15pm, Fri 8:30am - 3pm

This is a great opportunity to work for the UK's market-leading structural steel company
Are you an experienced process, manufacturing, production, or Continuous Improvement engineer looking for your next challenge?

Their factory is a large site, and you will be working across all different areas of the factory including fittings/machine shop, profiling CNCs, fabrication, and painting.
You will be supporting the business by optimising processes and advising/project managing new machinery, equipment, tooling & workflow layouts. The successful candidate will need to have a good understanding of manufacturing processes, ideally with some CNC profiling experience.

On a daily basis, you will be assisting production with technical issues and problem-solving as well as reviewing & improving production processes using lean manufacturing techniques. You will be required to work across multiple departments to push through improvement projects, conduct data analysis, develop KPIs to identify opportunities, ensuring improvement places are in place where required.
To be successful in this role you will need to be a good communicator, have excellent people skills and have a good understanding of lean manufacturing. You will need a high level of organisational skills, be quality focussed, with an ability to drive projects from cradle to grave.

The successful candidate will also have an Engineering Qualification (HNC, HND etc). Knowledge of CNCs or Fabrication would be an advantage and some prior experience in structural steel would be helpful, but it is not essential.
