This role is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a successful and growing business and adding to their experienced team. This company work with a vast variety of clients and sectors and therefore have a wide mix of projects in the workshop. With the approval of additional British standards pending the company will also be looking to extend their order book with bigger projects in the near future.
As a Structural Steel Fabricator/Fitter, main duties will involve the fabrication and welding of steel from Engineering drawings on a wide variety of projects from start to completion and installation on site. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a basic ability to read from Engineering drawings, Fabricate and weld (MIG / TIG) to a high standard and ideally be either an apprentice trained, or time served qualified craftsmen. Any candidate from any fabrication background will be considered as training can be offered - this role would suit any type of experience level.
Some occasional work away from home (with all costs are covered) may be required when fitting on clients sites and therefore a CSCS card would be desirable.
Additional training will be provided to the successful candidate and no site work will be required until fully conversant with the companies work.
Usual work will include: Fabrication, Welding, saw cutting, plasma cutting, grinding and drilling.
Desirable: CSCS card, FLT & IPAF
Hours: Mon - Thurs: 7.30am - 4.30pm, Fri: 7.30am - 12.30pm (30 min break)
Overtime: Saturdays - mostly available
Rates: depend on experience (£10-15ph)
This is a temp to permanent role: candidates must demonstrate their ability to work to the required standards
