Growth mind sets aren't for everyone. Some companies just aren't interested in yours, or even their own development. You'll here phrases like "This is how we've always done it", or "You do your job and I'll do mine". The message in these places are clear - This is your box, stay in it.
But, every so often, you come across a company that is looking to develop. They want to better themselves, and they understand the only way to do that is to upskill their staff, to bring forward their own ways of thinking, and to really shoot for the stars.
Our client are already a leading British Manufacturer of bespoke machinery to some of the leading names in the FMCG industry - including the likes of Warburtons, Muller Dairies, Hovis, Bakkavor and Greencore amongst many MANY others. They have big expansion plans for themselves, looking to double their turnover over the next 3 years from £1.5m to £3m.
They are looking for an Electrical & Controls Engineer to come and join them on a permanent basis. You'll have a good understanding of Design Engineering Electrical systems, but also have an understanding of PLC coding, ideally with Schneider experience. They will be happy to take someone with some experience in one of these and a good grasp of the other in the hope of developing your skills. You'll also get the chance to work on site with installation engineers to make programme changes, fault find and configuration of some of their machines.
The day to day will include:
- Electrical Panel Layout and Schematic Design. They use Solidworks Electrical but are open to other CAD experience.
- PLC and HMI software development from concept to completion. The tools they use are usually Omron Sysmac Stuidio and Schneider Electric Somachine - but again they are open to development.
- Assist with installation and commissioning of machines with customers.
- Working with Assembly technicians and Service engineers during machine building & testing.
In return you'll receive a salary of £40k-£45k, 23 days holidays + Bank Holidays, flexible working hours (including an early dart Friday), a friendly and relaxed environment that challenges engineers in the right way, and the opportunity to develop yourself and be part of a team that is looking for growth.
So if you're stuck in your box and find yourself looking for the right opportunity and atmosphere to be part of a growing business, get in touch today with Mark Dorey on email@example.com or 0161 416 6296.
