Document Controller, 2 x Positions 1 x Permanent, 1 x maternity cover(12 months), Basic salary is £22k-£23k, hourly rate is upto £12 an hour.
Working hours are Mon-Thurs 8am-4:30pm, Fri 8am-1pm
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a Company who have been established for nearly 50 years, they specialise in providing bespoke designs and manufacture of plant and equipment mainly for the Nuclear sector.
The main purpose of the role is working within a project portfolio team, in liaison with the Project Quality Engineer, to manage and record all Project deliverable documentation with their internal and external Clients and Stakeholders including the accurate and timely management of all associated documentation.
Other responsibilities will be confirming that the quality of project documentation satisfies the company and/or requirements before they are filed / issued and liaising with internal and external clients and suppliers to ensure documents are in the correct format and contain correct metadata.
Manage the process of recording and distribution of documentation and correspondence, maintaining good relationships with external and internal clients.
Daily liaison with the Project Teams to ensure that documentation being submitted for LTR assembly is compliant and satisfies the expectations of the Project Quality Engineer who is responsible for the eventual Company's LTR acceptance and sign off.
Implement process flow for the concurrent build of Life Time Records; ensure quality, timely and compliant build of the records and make them available for concurrent inspection.
Responsible for providing confirmation that a full and robust physical and electronic records exists for each project (as per contract requirements) ahead of the decision to archive.
Participate in Internal and External Document Control audits, close out audit actions and complete any improvement observations - participate in 'process flow' change meetings addressing Learning from Experience (LFE) improvements.
Develop Internal Auditing Skills to reinforce job function.
Undertake secretary duties for Project Governance / Status meetings, as required.
