MAINTENANCE LEADER

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Leader to join a rapidly expanding Engineering company that provides engineered components and supply solutions to the Aerospace and Power Generation sectors.
Due to increasing customer demands my client are looking to enlarge and strengthen their workforce to facilitate further expansion into these markets.
Reporting to the Work Services Manager, you will be directly responsible for all maintenance activities, people management and controlling the flow of work through the maintenance department.
To be considered for this vacancy you must have:
▪ In-depth knowledge of Electro/Mechanical Equipment & CNC Machine Tools.
▪ Experience in problem-solving and rectification on a variety of equipment, machine tools and building systems.
▪ Fully trained and time served as a skilled Maintenance Engineer.
▪ Working experience in CNC Machine Tool Environment.
▪ Experience of fault finding using Diagrams and Diagnostic Systems.
▪ Computer knowledge (MS-Office, Maintenance Data Systems)
▪ People Management Skills
▪ Ability to work independently and as a Team Player.
▪ Ability to positively motivate and lead a Team.
▪ Ability to cope with pressure.

Key Responsibilities of this role will include:-
▪ Provide positive support to the Works Services Manger in managing activities across the site and delivering Key Performance Indicators.
▪ Provide strong leadership, technical guidance, positively motivating and developing the maintenance / works services workforce.
▪ Support the 6'S' & Asset Care activity throughout the business, managing and adhering too, weekly and monthly maintenance schedules.
▪ To ensure that all employees are compliant with all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and Company Policy.
▪ Work with the Module Managers and Production Leaders of each business to effectively prioritise machine breakdowns to deliver customer requirements.
▪ Along with the Works Services Manager & 6 `S` Facilitator, develop and implement proactive preventative maintenance & service regime across the business.
▪ Along with the Works Services Manager, develop and implement a Maintenance Training program to fulfill the requirements of the business.
▪ In the absence of the Works Services Manager, take overall control of the works services department with support from the 6 `S` Facilitator.
▪ Manage & maintain the Maintenance Activity & Budget Control Systems in line with the needs of the Works Services Manager.
▪ Manage and control sub-contractors on site, ensuring their adherence to Company Policy and Health & Safety procedures.
▪ Manage and control employee Time & Attendance, Additional Hours, Holidays via TMS System.
▪ Carry out Performance Reviews of the Maintenance Team.
▪ Continuously Improve the service supplied to the business, investigating new techniques and products that can have a direct impact to reducing downtime and costs.
▪ Carryout any reasonable task or activity that supports the needs of the business as requested by the Works Services Manager.
▪ Support a 24hr Callout Rota.
